Christmas and Adverts
Following my tradition of watching Chrsitmas adverts, here´s my selection this year. As you may guess, the leit-motif is the covid and the need of gathering with families again.
This year the best presents are you!
1. Advert 1: Tesco
Watch carefully and discuss how this AD represents the new realities that we are forced to live now.
Scene summary:
It´s a new Christmas TESCO Ad about the obstacles that we have been facing all year long.It´s with a happy ending.
2. Advert 2: Disney
The stunning animated short film centres on a new stepdad as he moves in with his partner and her two children, and tries to find his place in the family around the festive period.
It is also a sequel to last year´s advert, where little girls Nicole bonded with her grandmother over their Christmas traditions. Nicole is now the grown-up, with two children of her own.
The song is beautiful and it has viewers in tears of emotional feeling. The song is "Love Runs Deeper" by Gregory Porter.
